What You Should Know About FaceBook Privacy

Facebook is now allowing third party advertisers to use your photos without your permission. There is something you can do about it. There are privacy settings set up in Facebook to keep your photos safe from these third party advertisers.
Time Required: 2 minutes

Here's How:
Go to your Facebook:

  • Go to "Settings" in the upper right corner and click on "Privacy".

  • Select "News Feed and Wall".

  • At the top of the next page you'll see two tabs. The tab you're on reads "Actions within Facebook. Click on the other tab that reads "Facebook Ads".

  • This page allows you to "opt out of appearing in your friends' Facebook Ads below." You can do so by choosing "No one" from the drop down box. If you choose "Only my friends", your photos will continue to show on ads on your friends Facebook pages.

  • Click "Save Changes".

Also don't forget to look at the following Privacy Issues:

  • Profile

  • Basic Info

  • Personal Info

  • Status Updates

  • Photos Tagged of You

  • Videos Tagged of You

  • Friends

  • Wall

  • Education Info

  • Work Info

The above info came from the website about.com in an article:
