A couple of odd things, first having a premonition dream about 2 weeks before 911 of the events from my perspective on the 73rd floor of Tower One, feeling the crash and the building lean, seeing the debris fall outside the windows, except in my dream the floor gave out when I was approaching the office exit and I was falling.
In the real event, before the jet impact, I was delayed from going to the elevator by a phone message from the parking director, saying that nobody showed up to set up the construction at the basement truck dock which was supposed to occur. I never found out why, my sister-in-law joked that maybe the construction crew had a premonition dream too. But the phone message may have saved me from being in an elevator at the time of the crash, and very sadly the parking director, Mr. Ken Grazoulis who had become a friend from the day I met him, did not make it out.
The second plane hit Tower 2 causing Tower 1 to shake (that cause unknown to us in the stairway then) and luckily it did not fall then. An astonishing scene at the plaza level, some having jumped, at least one still in her burned airline seat, the tall mezzanine windows shattered, and water flooding our exit path. I think of the brilliant, wonderful friends lost, distraught that they're gone, and remembering to cherish each day.
