On September 11, 2001 I remember that I delayed my trip to the World Trade Center because I thought about voting before going to work because it was primary day in New York City. I decided to vote after work and I took the E train as usual.
I was on Church Street when the second plane hit. I felt the displaced energy in my feet. I remember being with Ron Pannone and Lillian Valenti. I remember using my Blackberry to contact Ernesto Butcher who was my boss then. I later learned that he was trying to evacuate people at about the same time.
The other memory that is still vivid in my mind is reporting to the Port Authority Technical Center (PATC) the next day and beginning the work to recover from the attack on the Trade Center which included calling PA staff to confirm whether they were alive.
