Thomas Edward Morkevich, 84, of Ave Maria, Florida passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 18, 2021 in Naples, after visitation from his loving family.

Tom met and married his wife of 61 years, Eileen, in his hometown of Bayonne, NJ, raised their three daughters in Nutley, NJ before moving to Mays Landing, NJ followed by The Villages in Florida, and Ave Maria, Florida.

Before his devoted work of thirty-two and a half years in the corner office on the 71st floor of One World Trade Center, with the Port Authority of NY and NJ and president of DPMA, Tom was initiated into the business of computers at Military Ocean Terminal at Bayonne. Tom also became a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus.

Loved dearly by his wife, three daughters and their partners, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, Tom was a committed family man. Despite his almost lifelong medical struggles, he was always happy and sharing his mantra, “Don’t sweat the small stuff!” His love of family, boating, fishing, model trains, warm heart, humor, and booming singing voice are only a small snippet of loving memories.

Tom is predeceased by his parents Andrew Morkevich and Ona (née Amses) Morkevich, four brothers, Andrew, Vince, Joe and Eddie, and sister Anne. He is survived by his loving wife Eileen (née Daley) Morkevich, his daughters, Judy Bargstadt and partner Heather, Debbie Parker and husband Douglas, Kristen Caprio and husband James, his grandchildren, Katherine Aiello and husband Frank, Lisa Snow, Thomas and Lucas Parker, his great grandsons, Frankie and Joseph Aiello, and his sister Marie Nilan and husband Robert.

A funeral mass will be held Saturday, January 8, 2021, at Ave Maria Catholic Church at 11:00 AM
