Mr. Billy Lloyd “Bill” Anderson of South Boston, VA died Tuesday, 11/1/2022 at the age of 76.
Mr. Anderson was born in Halifax County on May 30, 1946 to the late Harold Anderson and Louise Huntley Anderson and was married to Lillie Mae McCargo Anderson. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church before moving to New York. Mr. Anderson was a law enforcement officer at Laguardia Airport for 20 years and was owner of Cleanmaster Maintenance Corp and Anderson Coachways.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife: Lillie Mae Anderson of the home; (1) son: Michael Anderson of Richmond, VA: (1) sister: Virginia Nixon (Nathaniel) of Nyack, NY; (1) brother: Thomas Anderson of South Boston, VA; (4) grandchildren; (1) great grandchild; (2) goddaughters; (5) sisters-in-law; (3) brothers-in-law; (2) aunts; (2) uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by (1) brother: Harold Anderson, Jr.
Funeral services for Billy Lloyd “Bill” Anderson will be Friday, November 11th at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church on Ferry Street with Rev. William J. Coleman eulogist. Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery.
Public viewing for family and friends will be Thursday from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Jeffress Funeral Home.
