In Memory of John G. Nolan

April 27, 1940 ~ July 15, 2022

John G. Nolan, 82, of Middletown, NJ, formerly of Staten Island, NY, passed away on July 15, 2022. John was born in Jersey City to Michael and Ann (Kennedy) Nolan.

He was a communicant of St. Catharine’s RC Church in Holmdel and honorably served our country in the US Army from November 1959 to October 1965. John received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Rutgers University and an MBA from Wagner College. John worked as Comptroller and Property Manager for the Port Authority for over 30 years. He loved going to work and was honored to work in the World Trade Center.

John was a lifelong Yankees fan, a world traveler and enjoyed spending his spare time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

John was predeceased by his parents and his siblings; Terence, Michael and Marguerite. He is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Dorothy (Cugini) Nolan, his loving daughters; Donna (Christopher) Barnes of Middletown and Nancy (Mark) Estrada of Tinton Falls and his adored grandchildren; Matthew, Morgan, Jenna, Isabella, Elena and Max.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 20th 11am at St. Anthony’s in Red Bank. Burial will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran’s Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ at 1:30.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in John's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, 370 7th Ave Suite 1802, New York, NY 10001.
