In Memory of Joseph E. Bannon

Joseph E. Bannon, 70, of Point Pleasant, passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2022.  Born and raised in Jersey City, he has lived in Point Pleasant for the past thirty-six years. 

Joe was a retired Port Authority of NY and NJ police officer and was currently working security at Colts Neck High School. He enjoyed music, especially Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.

He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Marie Bannon; and son-in-law, Hunter Joel Hooper.

Joe is survived by his beloved wife, of forty-eight years, Patricia (McAlarney) Bannon; and three daughters, Colleen Hooper, Kerri Hogan and husband, Ryan, and Shayna Bannon and Daniel Marsh. Also surviving are his sister, Judith Rowland and husband, Robert; five grandchildren, Emelie and Aidan Hooper, and Keira, Brynlee, and Riley Hogan; and his beagle, Gracie.

Visitation will be from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m., Monday, January 17 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, followed by a 10 a.m., Funeral Liturgy which will be celebrated at Saint Dominic Church, 250 Old Squan Road, Brick.
