In Memory of Louis P. Cenci

Louis P. Cenci, 80, of Toms River passed away with his family by his side on Thursday August 10, 2023. Born in New York, NY he resided in Bridgewater for 30 years and Brick for 26 years before moving to Manchester 6 years ago.  He wintered in West Palm Beach, FL for 20 years. Louis graduated from St Peter’s University with a BS. After 35 years with the Port Authority of NY & NJ he retired in 1996 as the Chief Maintenance Supervisor. 

Louis was extremely social with a great sense of humor and was loved by all who met him. His passions included golf, cruising, cards with friends, bocce, the Lakewood BlueClaws, and the NY Giants. Some of his proudest achievements were being a board member of the Somerville Elks, Bocce Ball Champion, Past President of the Port Authority Maintenance Supervisor Association (PAMSA), and of course hitting that hole in one at Palm Beach National Golf Course. Louis was a huge Disney fan and loved to visit with Marilyn as often as he could. Louis and Marilyn also enjoyed traveling the world with their friends. He was a sharp dresser who loved his many hats. 

Surviving is his wife Marilyn of 60 years who he adored; 3 sons and daughters-in-law: Marc Cenci & Catherine, Scott Cenci & Patricia and Brian Cenci & Jennifer, 8 grandchildren: Collin, Joshua, Matthew, Brielle, Nicholas, Brandon, Justin & Julia; and 5 great grandchildren: Tyler, Lauren, Charlee, Oakleigh & Olivia. Visitation is Sunday 1-5 PM at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Rd Manchester. Funeral Liturgy is Monday 11 AM at St John’s Church Lakehurst with a private cremation to follow.
